Secure the lower pump assembly in a vise, clamping on the (Item 6) outlet body.

NOTE: Be careful not to scratch, dent or damage the (Item 6) outlet body. When placing it into the vice use a shop rag or soft cloth to prevent any scratches, dents or damage.

If tie rods are still threaded in (Item 6) outlet body, unthread and remove them with a ⅝" open end wrench on the tie rod flats.
