Thoroughly lubricate the (Item 65) cup packings and the inner diameter of (Item 9) tube with a compatible assembly lubricant. Starting from either end of (Item 9) tube, slide assembled Pump Rod & Lower Packing Assembly into (Item 9) tube.

NOTE: (Item 9) tube has a chamfer on both ends to assist in installation of the (Item 65) cup packings.
