Using a 24" adjustable wrench, unscrew and remove (Item 2) gland nut, releasing (Item 43) wave spring, (Item 53) washer, five (Items 51 & 52) “V” packings, (Item 50) washer, (Item 44) washer and (Item 38) o-ring.

NOTE: Lightly tap the end of the 24" adjustable wrench with a soft mallet to help loosen (Item 2) gland nut.
