Remove the (Item 26) pump rod assembly from (Item 9) tube.

Place (Item 26) pump rod assembly in a vice gripping the button end of the (Item 26) pump rod.

NOTE: Use a soft cloth between the vise and (Item 26) pump rod to prevent damage to the (Item 26) pump rod.
