With a compatible lubricant, lube the middle packing assembly and the inside of the (Item 9) tube. Starting from either end of the (Item 9) tube (both ends are universal), slide the (Item 9) tube over the bottom end of the (Item 30) primer rod, middle packing assembly and (Item 26) plunger assembly.

Note: Use a soft mallet and gently tap around the (Item 9) tube to assist with this step.

Starting with the bottom end of the (Item 30) primer rod, place this completed assembly through the (Item 21) foot valve body.
