Loosen and remove the three (Item 12) 1" nuts using a 1½" box end wrench and soft mallet if needed.

After the three (Item 12) nuts and three (Item 17) lock washers are removed, the upper (Item 5) retaining ring can be removed by hand.

Remove pump from vise when above is complete.

NOTE: The three (Item 12) nuts are torqued to 225-300 ft. lbs., so they may be difficult to loosen with standard hand tools, such as a wrench. You may try a ½" drive impact with a 1 ½" socket.
